Last updated: March 18, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Interpret ("Interpret," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website, iOS app, and interpreted calling services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Account

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.

3. Service Description

Interpret provides real-time interpreted communications using telephony, internet calling, and AI-assisted translation technologies. Service quality and availability can vary based on network conditions, third-party providers, supported language pairs, and device capabilities.

The Services are not a substitute for emergency services. Do not use Interpret to contact emergency responders.

4. Fees, Wallet, and Billing

  • The Services are pay-as-you-go unless otherwise stated.
  • Charges are based on applicable pricing at the time of use.
  • You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method.
  • Wallet balance, top-ups, and billing history are provided in-app.
  • Refunds, if any, are subject to our refund policies and applicable law.

You are responsible for taxes, duties, or governmental charges associated with your use of the Services, except taxes based on our net income.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or related infrastructure.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
  • Reverse engineer or misuse the Services beyond permitted use.
  • Use the Services to violate intellectual property or privacy rights.

6. Third-Party Services

The Services may depend on third-party platforms and providers (for example telephony, payment, authentication, cloud, and model providers). We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party systems.

7. Intellectual Property

Interpret and related software, branding, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Interpretation and transcription outputs may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for critical decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Interpret and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

Our total liability for all claims related to the Services will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Interpret and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time for security, legal, abuse, or payment reasons. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post updated Terms and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
